“Politicians, If you want to lead by example, part of the game is being brutally honest about what is productive and real versus politically correct, immaterial and fear-based. Politics is calling for warriors. Step up and tell the truth with civility; people are starving for it.” TMS from Myspace Archives

The Junior Senator

3/11/11  There is little evidence that the Jr VT Senator is certified in any field but he is an
expert on many subjects.. see
BERNIE TELLS YOU HOW IT IS

3/5/11  The Senator tees off on Corporate Personhood and Citizen United.  His take-
"What it essentially says is corporations and billionaires can sit in a room and decide who
is going to become the president of the United States, a U.S. senator, a congressperson,
or governor. That is not what this country is supposed to be about," Senator Sanders

This quote didn't include public employee unions and implied there are no liberal
billionaires..... but we know what he meant. ( I was a union teacher for 10 years and
watched 95% of our political contributions go to Democrat/Liberal candidates)

My take- I understand the "Money is not Speech" point. It is a good one. I may not enter
politics because money and special interests prevent  good government. I recommend to
the Senator we stop all the wailing and gnashing of teeth, and draft a potential Salmon
Sanders Agreement, the first of its kind....If we are the major candidates, let us sign an
MOU that we will not spend more than 3 dollars per Vermonter (620k people x $3=1.86
million). $3 per capita is reasonable for Senator, 1.50 for Governor, etc. This "local
solution" addresses the threat to Democracy caused by money and special interests. I
have said this publicly before- and I now invite the Senator  to consider sending a different
message across the state and country:
In Vermont, Money and Special Interests will not
impair Democracy or elections that will be based on issues and citizen concerns.

3/2/11 Bernie and Me will continue as I conduct a low key exploratory process.

I have 4 kids and there is no way I am leaving them a country that lacks confidence and
effectiveness. If I work at his crusade 12 hours a day for the next 30 years to improve life in
America and on  this planet, so be it.  Whether its in politics or not, I will not ever, ever, ever
give up trying.

"It showed a state official in an embarrassing position, but, viewed dispassionately, it
showed him acting with maturity and respect."

1/11/11 Bernie and Me            We the People
At this writing, I am not certain what Bernie Sander's fundraising letter said. I am certain at
this time that he is beatable (anyone is) by one of us in 2012. He continues to operate in
the "do anything to win" mode by playing the FEAR and BLAME cards-no matter what the
situation.

Peace be with all of you as we all struggle with the Arizona tragedy, as a country and a
people.

Here in Vermont, we want our public officials to succeed-as it benefits our entire citizenry
when they do.
Congrats to the Democrats and the Shumlin Administration as they pull together their first
team... I know there are alot of us Vermont Republicans  that want the legislative and
executive branches to succeed.... by being calmly honest, even more than "bold", and
creating conditions for a stronger Vermont. Let's all work together for the common good.
I'm firmly in. Are you?
